English Language Programmes

How will you get there?
You will develop your Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening skills through a blended approach on IGS’ Technologies-for-1 Learning Management platform

Your journey starts with a placement test to assess your proficiency level. Thereafter, your progress will be monitored continuously to ensure competent learning outcome

  • Core lessons with online teacher-facilitated sessions and self-directed learning,

Our Programmes

  Elementary English (CEFR A1 - A2)


Level:
EFL learners at the CEFR A1 and A2 levels preparing for CEFR B1 Level

Duration:
180 - 200 hours

Objectives:
  • Understand sentences
  • Frequently used expressions
  • Communicate in simple sentences
  • Communicate routine tasks
  • Simple and direct information exchanges
  • Description in simple terms
Optional sitting for Cambridge Assessment English A2 Key or A2 Key


  LOWER-INTERMEDIATE ENGLISH (CEFR A2 – B1)


Level:
EFL learners at CEFR A2 preparing for CEFR B1 competency.

Duration:
200 - 240 hours

Objectives:
  • Understand clear standard input
  • Ability to deal with most spoken situations
  • Ability to produce simple connected text
  • Ability to describe and explain experiences and plans
Optional sitting for International English Language Testing System (IELTS).


  UPPER-INTERMEDIATE ENGLISH (CEFR B1 – B2)


Level:
EFL learners at CEFR B1 preparing for CEFR B2 competency.

Duration:
200 - 240 hours

Objectives:
  • Understand ideas of complex text
  • Ability to interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity
  • Ability to produce clear, detailed text on varying subjects
  • Enhancing analytical, evaluation, reflection and expression skills
    • Option for Research & Academic Writing Skill for
    • the Cambridge International Project Qualifications 9980
    • the International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme

  ADVANCED ENGLISH (CEFR B2 – C1)


Level:
EFL learners at CEFR B2 preparing for CEFR C1 Competency.

Duration:
200 - 240 hours

Objectives:
  • Understand demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning
  • Ability to express fluent and spontaneous expressions
  • Ability to use language flexibly and effectively
  • Ability to produce and control clear, well-structured and detailed text
  • Develop scientific literacy towards effective communication on technological and scientific matters
