Professor Low Teck Seng
Prof. Low Teck Seng is the Chief Executive Officer of the National Research Foundation. He was previously the Managing Director of A*STAR (2010 – 2012). Prior to this, Professor Low assumed the roles of founding principal of Republic Polytechnic (2002 – 2008) and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the National University of Singapore (1998 – 2000). He also led A*STAR’s Data Storage Institute (1992 – 1998) as Executive Director.
Prof. Low was awarded the National Science and Technology Medal in 2004 – for his contributions to the domain of R&D, propelling Singapore’s growth and development. In 2007, he was also awarded the Public Administration Medal (Gold) for his meritorious service to Singapore. Prof. Low is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE), an International Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, UK and Fellow of the Singapore Academy of Engineers. |
